Formerly the Post Office, the appropriately named Penny Black in recognition of its heritage, is a grand period building with a courtyard garden right in the centre of Leatherhead town.

We sell an array of well tended lagers, several of Young’s famous ales and a regularly changing guest ale at any one time.

For the peckish or indeed the famished, we offer great pub classics, freshly prepared specials, a gourmet burger menu, sharing platters and bar snacks every day of the week.

Catch all the sporting action on our plasma screens showing SKY HD and ESPN matches live and on our giant 60'' outdoor plasma in fine weather. We now have the facility to show 2 games at the same time, both in HD quality. There's no better place to watch it!!

Good to see Tribute on tap in here (Nov 2011) last Saturday. Probably just a guest ale but they should keep it permanently, I'd probably go in there more often!

Decent to watch the football in, could do with a bigger screen so more people can see but can't complain overall. Burgers are pretty decent as well....

I have passed through with work from time to time, but must say it's change loads recently,mainly to do with the food it really is that good ,better than any gastro pub i have been in,it's just not what you expect it's got everything on there menu, i have been in there every week this month and every time it gets better!so I thought I should tell others, very unlike me but seeing their "10 best burgers in surrey" menu I enjoyed a delicious penny black burger, it was huge and worth every penny ,great value and a great menu, finished it off with with a wonderful pint of young's special,
well done team
